A Thrilling Thesaurus of Stitches
This new course will continue our embroidery adventure following the excitement of A Brief Dictionary of Stitches! Now that we know the basics like how to set-up our embroidery hoop and thread our needle with ease, it’s time to start playing with our stitches. We already know and love the basic stitches; straight, back, stem, button-hole, fly, feather, daisy, chain, couching, stars, seeding, long & short, satin, diagonal satin, french & bullion knots - Yay!
A Thrilling Thesaurus of Stitches will introduce 16 new stitches to your embroidery repertoire - Hooray! We’ll be learning whipped running stitch, threaded back stitch, Pekinese, double feather, scroll, petal, magic chain, tulip, coral, buttonhole wheel, ribbed wheel, woven spider, bullion knot roses, spiral couching. We’ll be developing our embroidery skills by ‘sewing’ rather than ‘stabbing’ with the blanket and fly stitches, to continue building our skills and techniques.
If you enjoyed the cosy evenings of embroidery during Samplers of Seduction and the relaxed and fun approach to learning stitches, then I’m sure you will be thrilled by this course too. It begins in November and will be held from 5:00pm to 6:00pm Paris time (GMT +2).
