A Textile Journey to Venice
Venice has always been a city of extraordinary craft. Built at the crossroads of East and West, the city became a remarkable meeting place for materials, ideas, techniques and artistic traditions travelling across the Mediterranean and beyond. Silks and velvets, lace and embroidery, glass beads, printed papers and dazzling decorative arts all flourished here, shaped by centuries of exchange and transformed by Venetian ingenuity.
Only 12 places are available on A Textile Journey to Venice retreat. Please register your interest by October 15th to apply for your spot on this immersive textile journey.
Many of these traditions survive today in workshops tucked away among the canals, bridges, palazzos and islands of this endlessly alluring city.
