I want your week in Venice to feel wonderfully inspiring and effortless. Much of the practical side of the journey has been thoughtfully arranged, leaving you free to immerse yourself in the textiles, craftsmanship, colour and extraordinary creative heritage of Venice.
From private archives and historic workshops to hands-on making and very special behind-the-scenes access, this is an opportunity to discover a side of Venice that few visitors ever experience.
Your Retreat Includes
Seven nights’ accommodation at Palazzo Barocci, beautifully positioned on the Grand Canal, with breakfast each morning and Venice city tax included.
Welcome and farewell dinners to begin and end our Venetian adventure together.

A visit to the legendary Bevilacqua weaving workshop, where extraordinary Venetian silks and velvets continue to be woven using historic looms.
A day on Murano, including Ercole Moretti, specialist bead shopping and a hands-on glass bead workshop.
A day on Burano, including the Lace Museum and a private lace-making workshop with Martina Vidal.
Private water transport for our organised island visits to Murano and Burano.
A very special private experience with Antonia Sautter, including both her celebrated atelier and exceptional access to her headquarters, where the extraordinary textiles used to create her theatrical costumes are actually made.
Our Hidden Crafts of Venice experience, discovering traditional printing, beautiful papers, specialist boutiques and Venetian mosaic.

Airport or railway station transfers are not included, but private transfers can be arranged for you by Creative Travel Services if required.
